Mary Davis takes presidential bid to Kerry and Kilkenny

Mary Davis is taking her presidential bid to Kerry and Kilkenny County Councils today.

The Special Olympics chief has already secured the preliminary support of four county councils - Louth, Monagahn, Mayo and Limerick - in the hope of winning a nomination for the race to the Áras.

Ms Davis said a number of other councils, including North Tipperary, would vote tomorrow on whether to grant her their support.
