Man convicted of sexual assault of young girl

A man has been convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of sexually assaulting a young girl who was staying in his home.

The 57-year-old man, who can not be named for legal reasons, had pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of sexually assaulting the girl at locations in Co Waterford on dates between March 1991 and September 1995.
