Gilson jail threat withdrawn
Model Glenda Gilson is no longer facing the threat of prison over a wound-up car sales company.
Gilson was in the High Court today with her brother Damien in their capacity as directors of the Gilson Motor Company based in Ongar Wood, Dublin, which is in liquidation following non-payment of a six-figure revenue debt.
The siblings were warned in May they would go to prison if they did not individually present statements of the business's financial affairs.
Both are now in compliance and have given undertakings to co-operate with the liquidator Gary Lennon who has withdrawn his motion to commit the pair to jail.
He was however awarded the costs of the motion but it is Damien and not Glenda Gilson who will have to pay.
That ruling comes despite the court's finding that the model cannot deny her responsibilities as a company director even if she had nothing to do with the day-to-day running of the company.
