Two Dublin brothers charged with firearms offences have been served with a book of evidence at the Special Criminal Court this morning.

Two Dublin brothers charged with firearms offences have been served with a book of evidence at the Special Criminal Court this morning.

Brian Walsh (aged 24) of Harmonstown Road, Artane was charged with the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition at his home on February 1st, 2011.

The charges include the unlawful possession of three Walther 9mm pistols and three magazines suitable for use with the handguns.

Mr Walsh was also charged with the unlawful possession of 25 rounds of .45 acp ammunition and nine rounds of .22 ammunition.

John Walsh (aged 23), also of Harmonstown Road, Artane, was charged with the unlawful possession of three Walther 9mm pistols and three magazines suitable for use with the pistols at his home on February 1, 2011.

Presiding judge Mr Justice John Mac Menamin, sitting with Judge Alison Lindsay and Judge William Hamill, remanded the two men in custody with consent to bail to appear in front of the non-jury court on July 29 for mention.
