Court decision due on school's admissions policy
A court in Tipperary will today rule on an appeal from a Clonmel school seeking to overturn a ruling made by the Equality Tribunal on their admissions policy.
The case won at the Equality Tribunal had been taken by the Law Centre of the Irish Traveller Movement, against the Christian Brother's High School in Clonmel.
The Equality Tribunal found that the school's admission policy indirectly discriminates against Travellers.
A judgement in the appeal will be delivered in Clonmel Circuit Court at around lunchtime today.
