Reilly passes legislation to encourage smokers to quit

Fresh efforts are being made to encourage smokers to quit the habit.

Cigarette packets could soon feature graphic images of smoking-related diseases after the Health Minister James Reilly passed new legislation by the Cabinet to force tobacco companies to place striking images on their packaging to put consumers off.
