Heritage Council gives three museums full accreditation
The Heritage Council has today rewarded three museums for their excellence.
Donegal County Museum, Farmleigh and the GAA museum in Dublin have been given full accreditation under the Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.
The programme is designed to raise standards in the way institutions care for their collections, and in the services they provide to visitors.
Chief Executive of the Heritage Council, Michael Starrett, said a quality product will eventually create jobs.
