Varadkar confirms Govt stance on bonus payment
The Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar has confirmed that he will not reappoint the members of the Dublin Airport Authority unless they comply with the new salary cap for chief executives of State bodies.
Earlier in the week it emerged that the Chief Executive of the DAA, Declan Collier, had his total pay package increased by more than €40,000 last year.
Speaking today at the launch of the Minister's "pedal in the park" cycle campaign in the Phoenix Park, Minister Varadkar said that he is now awaiting a response from the DAA, which he expects to receive this evening.
