Police in the North have praised all of those involved in making sure a contentious Orange Order parade and counter protest passed off peacefully in west Belfast this afternoon.

The annual Whiterock Parade had restrictions imposed on it by the Parades Commission and was heavily stewarded by both communities and a large police presence.
