Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal Dublin pub shooting

A man in his early 20s has been shot dead in Inchicore in Dublin.

The killing took place in a busy pub on the Tyrconnell Road at around 12.20am last night.

A lone gunman walked into the Blackhorse Pub and shot two men, both of whom are said to be in their early 20s.

The victims were taken to St. James Hospital where one of them was pronounced dead.

The other man sustained what are described as "non life-threatening" injuries.

The gunman fled the scene on foot in the direction of James Town Road.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The scene has this morning been sealed off, while Gardaí carry out a full technical examination.
