Officials to discuss bailout interest after Kenny and Sarkozy meet

Taoiseach Enda Kenny and French President Nicolas Sarkozy have agreed that efforts will continue, at an official level, to bring finality to the issue of Ireland's interest rate.

It was not discussed as part of the official agenda but the two men held a brief meeting on the margins of the EU summit which continues today.
