Gardaí preparing file for DPP following Cork death at hotel
An inquest has heard that gardaí are to prepare a file for the DPP following the death of a 35-year-old woman from carbon monoxide poisoning earlier this year at a Cork hotel.
Inspector Brendan Fogarty said the investigation into the death of Limerick woman Miriam Reidy at the Trident Hotel, in Kinsale, on January 9 was ongoing.
He said it was both a technical and complex investigation.
Inspector Fogarty applied for an adjournment to allow the DPP to consider the file and decide whether to bring charges in connection with the incident.
Coroner for West Cork, Frank O'Connell adjourned the matter until December 6.
