Planners pass proposal for retirement village in Offaly

The controversial re-zoning of land just outside of Edenderry in Co Offaly has cleared for the way for a planning application for a retirement village.

Fifteen Offaly County Councillors backed the material contravention despite opposition from the County Manager and the Department of the Environment.
