Junior Minister Hayes defends Noonan tax comments

Junior Finance Minister Brian Hayes has defended comments made by Michael Noonan, that tax increases could not be ruled out.

The Government was accused of another u-turn after Mr Noonan said he could not rule out any tax hikes despite earlier making promises not to raise income tax.
