Presidential candidate Davis kicks off campaign

Mary Davis is kicking off her presidential campaign in Co Kildare today.

Best known for her work with Special Olympics, Davis aims to travel the length and breadth of the country in the coming weeks to secure a nomination from county councils.

She is hoping to run as an Independent in the race to the Áras.
