Cox 'considering presidential challenge'

Former president of the European Parliament Pat Cox is reportedly seeking to join Fine Gael in a bid to run as the party's presidential candidate.

According to the Irish Times Mr Cox is set to apply for membership of the party this week, the first step in seeking the party's nomination for the Áras.
