A man in his 20s has died following a serious assault in the early hours of this morning in Co. Monaghan.

A man in his 20s has died following a serious assault in the early hours of this morning in Co. Monaghan.

He was attacked shortly after 5am at Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross and died this evening at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, in Drogheda.
