Seven arrested in connection with Dublin murder
Gardaí have arrested seven people as part of the investigation into the murder of Stephen Byrne in Dublin's north inner city on July 13 last.
The 32-year-old convicted criminal was shot dead near his home at Mariner's Port on Sheriff Street.
Five men and two women were arrested today in a series of early-morning raids.
The arrests were made in the north inner city and the seven, who range in age from their late 20s to 50s, are being held at garda stations across the city.
The detentions bring to 13 the number arrested so far in this investigation. Gardaí say further arrests are expected.
