PSNI arrest man after assault on paramedic

In the North, a 44-year-old man has been arrested following an attack on a paramedic last night.

It happened in the Northland Road area of Derry at around 9.20pm.

Police were called after the man became violent towards the ambulance staff who were treating him.

He was arrested for assault, attempted criminal damage and assault on a police officer.
