Ryan: Govt have not stuck with 'Green Agenda'
The new Green Party leader, Eamon Ryan, has criticised the new Government for not sticking with the "Green Agenda".
The Former Minister made the comments after he was elected as the new party leader earlier today.
He will succeed John Gormley following a three-way contest for the leadership role..
Mr Ryan, from Dublin, defeated Kilkenny County Councillor Malcolm Noonan and Party activist Phil Kearney in a postal ballot.
The Green Party representation in the Dáil was wiped out in February's General Election after all six TDs lost their seats.
The new leader admits the challenge ahead is difficult he is confident the Greens will bounce back.
An election for deputy leader will take place at a later date.
