Green Party to announce new leader today

The Green Party will announce its new leader today.

Three candidates have put their name forward. They are former Minister Eamon Ryan, Councillor Malcolm Noonan and NEC member and party activist Phil Kearney.

Green Party members have been voting, with the deadline for postal votes at 12 noon today.

The party said the election of a new leader was a critical step in rebuilding the party after it was decimated in the last election.
