Man jailed for 12 years for rape of daughter

A 71-year-old former professional soccer player has been jailed for 12 years for repeatedly raping his daughter.

The man - who cannot be named for legal reasons - was convicted last March on 60 counts of sexual abuse and 14 charges of rape in locations in Galway and Roscommon between 2002 and 2006.
