Woman hospitalised after being hit by bus

A woman in her 20s is in hospital after she was hit by a bus in the Donnybrook area of Dublin this morning.

The incident happened at about 10.20am.

The pedestrian has been taken to Saint Vincent's hospital where she is said to be in a serious condition.

The scene has been sealed off, and only one lane is open to traffic on the inbound side.

Gardaí are advising motorists to take an alternative route if possible.
