Gates open for Obama speech

Security gates are opening around now for Barack Obama's speech at College Green in Dublin this evening.

Hundreds of people have been queuing since early this morning for the event, which gets underway at teatime.

Security is tight and people will not be allowed to being in food, drinks, umbrellas or banners.
