A number of traffic restrictions will be in place in Cork City today, for the Queen's visit.

There will be no traffic restrictions in Dublin, but on street parking restrictions will remain in place in the Phoenix Park.

From 10am this morning, a number of streets in Cork City centre will be closed to traffic.

They include areas of South Link Road, Station Road, Anglesea Street, South Mall, Grand Parade, Patrick Street, Academy Street, Washington Street, and Dyke Parade.

However, the outer routes around the city will remain open.

Pedestrians will also not be allowed to have access to some streets, including Prince's Street (Upper), Grand Parade, the junction of Oliver Plunkett Street to Patrick's Street, St Augustine Street to Tuckey Street, Washington Street and the junction of Grand Parade to South Main Street.

This restriction is in place between 12 noon and 4pm.
