Man acquitted of assaulting two-year-old girl

A man has today been acquitted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of assaulting a two-year-old child in Co Kildare.

The man was alleged to have grabbed the child of his then partner by the hair, and put her in the bath, where he put shampoo in her mouth and washed it down with a shower hose after she had vomited on a bed.
