Inchicore gun victim dies

A murder inquiry has been launched tonight after the victim 19 year-old of a gangland shooting lost his battle for life.

It's understood the man suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head in a gun attack that happened just before 3pm this afternoon at a house in Inchicore.

The teenager was rushed to St James' Hospital following the gun attack at a house in Myra Close off Emmet Road and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he died.

The scene of the shooting has been sealed off and is undergoing a forensic examination.

It's believed there may have been two gunmen involved in the incident.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
