Burst pipe leaves Galway residents without water

Some parts of Galway are without water this afternoon.

A burst water main on the Seamus Quirke Road means residents in Salthill and Taylors Hill are experiencing shortages.

A spokesperson for Galway City Council has said crews are on site and will fix the burst as soon as possible, but warns that it could take several hours.

A traffic diversion is in place diverting west-bound traffic from the location of the burst main outside the Hanley Oaks Hotel via Rahoon Road.
