Quinn allocates €30m for school repairs

Up to 3,000 construction and maintenance jobs will be created this summer by extra funding allocated to the new jobs initiative scheme.

The Education Minister Ruari Quinn has made an additional €30m available for the school summer repair scheme.

More than 380 schools will benefit from the scheme which runs for eight weeks.
