Man forced at knifepoint to take thieves to two ATM machines

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary at Botanic Avenue in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Gardaí say five males entered a house at around 11.30pm that night before ransacking it and stealing some property, some of which was later recovered.

A 21-year-old man was imprisoned by the gang, who took him at knifepoint to his car and made him drive to two separate ATM machines.

The man managed to escape. His car is still missing. The car is a light blue coloured Opel Corsa, registration number 07MH1295.

Three youths, aged 15,16 and 18 were arrested in the Botanic Avenue area and taken to Bridewell and Store street garda stations.

The 15-year-old was released yesterday and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The other two youths are currently before Dublin District Juvenile Court in Dublin.
