21-year-old dies after collision with car on Dublin's Parnell Road

A 21-year-old man has died after a crash in Dublin yesterday morning.

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to the crash which took place on Parnell Road in the city centre.

The 21-year-old died in St James's hospital yesterday afternoon, after he was hit by a car on Parnell Road shortly before 2am.

A 96D Green Nissan Micra car was abandoned by the driver at the scene.

An 18-year-old man has been released without charge after being questioned by gardaí about the crash.
