Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Dublin collision

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to a serious road crash on Parnell Road in the city this morning.

A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition at St James Hospital after being hit by a car just before 2am.

Gardaí at Sundrive Road are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

The car - a 96 D green Nissan Micra - was left at the scene but the driver failed to remain with it.

The road remains closed to facilitate a forensic investigation.
