Healthcare provider Euromedic Ireland has today announced the investment of a further €1m in Ireland with the expansion of its diagnostic scanning clinic at the Elysian in Cork City.

The investment is part of the Company’s wider expansion plan to increase access to diagnostic imaging services throughout Ireland in the coming months.

The expansion of its centre in Cork puts Euromedic’s total investment in the region at approximately €6m and over €45m in the country to date.

Commenting on the investment, Colm Davitt, Chief Executive of Euromedic Ireland said: “Euromedic has expanded its services rapidly since it entered the Irish market in 2007.

"We estimate that there are over 10,000 people waiting for routine diagnostic scans throughout the country and our aim is provide fast access to these people by providing diagnostic services to communities nationwide. Our expansion in Cork is a further indication of our commitment to ongoing investment in Ireland and to reducing waiting lists for routine diagnostic imaging throughout the country.”
