Man appears in court charged with Tallaght murder

A 34-year-old Dublin man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Sean McMahon in Tallaght nearly four years ago.

Paul Zambra of Inagh Road, Ballyfermot is accused of killing the father of two – who was shot several times in the head while sleeping at his home in Donaghmore Avenue in Tallaght on November 14, 2007.

Tallaght District Court heard the unemployed plasterer replied 'I'm totally innocent to this charge" when charged and cautioned following his arrest early this morning.

He has been remanded in custody until Thursday.
