The vast bulk of jobs at Quinn Insurance are to be saved after insurer Liberty Mutual and Anglo Irish Bank were chosen as the preferred bidders to take over the company.

The vast bulk of jobs at Quinn Insurance are to be saved after insurer Liberty Mutual and Anglo Irish Bank were chosen as the preferred bidders to take over the company.

All 1,570 staff in Ireland and the North will transfer to the new operation to be run by Liberty, the fifth largest insurer in the US.
