Gardaí seize drugs worth €250k

Gardai at Terenure have seized cannabis resin, cocaine and a small amount of cannabis herb with a total street value of €250,000.

Officers said the operation began at 11pm last night when a car was stopped on the Terenure Road in Dublin 6.

A man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained at Terenure Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

In a follow up search at a house in Mercer Street, Dublin 2 a further quantity of drugs were seized.

The bulk of the drugs were found in the house.

In total gardaí seized 8kg of cannabis resin, 2.5kg of cocaine and a small amount of cannabis herb.
