Connemara to hold tenth marathon

The annual Connemara marathon kicks off in Galway later, with participants having travelled from far and wide to take part.

More than 3,000 runners from 32 countries are taking part in the race, which is now in its tenth year.

Director Ray O'Connor said drivers in the area should be aware of traffic restrictions today.
