Three men injured in Galway docks accident

Three men have been injured in an accident at the Galway Docks today.

The accident happened as the men were loading a small passenger ferry onto a larger freighter, when the sling snapped and the smaller boat collapsed.

The men have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Inspectors from the Health and Safety Authority are at the scene and an investigation will be carried out.
