Omagh police arrest man for firearms possession

Detectives from the PSNI serious crime branch have today arrested a 38-year-old man for possession of ammunition and firearms in suspicious circumstances.

Police say this is not connected to the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr in the town yesterday.

The man is being held at Omagh police station.
