Train services return to normal after vandals cause disruption

Rail services between Dublin Heuston and Cork, Kerry and Limerick train stations are now operating almost as normal, with only minor delays, after signalling equipment was targeted by vandals overnight.

Rail services between Dublin Heuston and Cork, Kerry and Limerick train stations are now operating almost as normal, with only minor delays, after signalling equipment was targeted by vandals overnight.

There were delays of up to 45 minutes on these routes earlier, after vandals had caused a signaling fault at Limerick and Thurles junction.

Iarnród Éireann is advising passengers to expect delays of up to 10 minutes on all trains passing through Limerick and Thurles junctions.
