The search for two fishermen missing off the coast of north County Dublin resumed this morning.

The alarm was raised on Friday evening when the men failed to return to Skerries harbour after a lobster-fishing trip.

The missing men - 41-year-old David Gilsenen and 26-year-old Ronan Brown are both married and from the Skerries area.

A fishing boat recovered in yesterday's search was identified as Mr Brown's vessel the Lady Linda.

Coastguard spokesman John Draper said today's search would focus on an area from Howth to Dundalk.

The Garda sub-aqua unit, coastguard helicopter and RNLI lifeboats are all taking part in the operation.
