EU grant to build car recharging posts
Ireland is to receive €1.5m towards the introduction of electro-mobility across Europe today.
The money will mainly go towards the installation of 3,500 charging posts around the country.
Gerry Wardell of the CODEMA energy agency says Irish people will notice the new infrastructure in the coming months as a result of the EU fund.
"It could also go to developing the systems for payment etc that will go with those, and they're hugely complex," he said.
