Gardaí arrest man in connection with Sandra Collins disappearance

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Sandra Collins in the Killala area of Co. Mayo on December 4/5, 2000, have released a man from Garda custody.

A file will now be prepared for the the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí made another arrest in Ballina today in relation to the investigation.

A 58-year-old man is currently detained at Ballina Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.
