Mayo gardaí continue to question man about Sandra Collins disappearance

Gardaí in Mayo are continuing to question a man in his 40s in connection with the disappearance of Sandra Collins.

The 29-year-old was last seen in a takeaway in Killala in Co Mayo more than 10 years ago, on December 4, 2000.

The man was arrested yesterday morning at his home in the Ballina area and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He is the second person to be arrested in connection with this investigation.

A 21-year-old woman who was arrested on Wednesday in relation to withholding information about the disappearance of Sandra Collins, was released without charge yesterday.
