Noonan to seek alliance with small EU countries

Finance Minister Michael Noonan is expected to have a battle on his hands at the eurozone ministers' meeting in Brussels today.

It is believed he will seek to form an alliance of smaller European countries in a bid to avoid being forced to abandon Ireland's low corporation tax rate.
