Roscommon accident kills man on N4

A pedestrian has been killed in a crash in Co. Roscommon.
The man, who was in his twenties, was struck by a van on the N4 Sligo to Dublin Road in the early hours of this morning.
The road from Cootehall to the Croghan Road Junction is closed this morning.
Motorists are being advised that diversions are in place eastbound via Knockvicar.
HGVs should divert via Knockvicar onto Leitrim village while westbound traffic can travel via Croghan and Boyle.
Meanwhile, the N81 Tallaght Bypass is closed from the Greenhills Road to the Glenview Roundabout inbound due to a serious collision.
Diversions are also in place there.
