Woman shot in Derry laundrette

A woman was shot and critically wounded today as she worked in a laundrette.

She was in premises off Harbour Hill, just behind an apartment block in the seaside town of Portstewart, Co Derry, when a man walked in and opened fire.

Police immediately sealed off the area as part of a follow-up investigation.
