The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Eamon Gilmore, has expressed his sympathy at the tragic loss of life and devastation in Japan.

The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Eamon Gilmore, has expressed his sympathy at the tragic loss of life and devastation in Japan.

Speaking in Budapest where he is attending a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers, he said that he had spoken to the Irish Ambassador in Tokyo, Mr John Neary, and was pleased to learn that there had been no reports so far of any Irish casualties.
