Union to meet tomorrow to discuss eircom proposals

Unions at eircom will consider proposals from management on a new cost cutting plan which may lead to job losses.

The Communications Workers Union says it will meet tomorrow and on Thursday to discuss the €90m proposal.

The company has said job losses are "inevitable" as it is struggling in a more competitive environment, with latest results showing that its revenues and earnings are down.
