First Labour seat in Galway East

Colm Keaveney has taken the last seat in Galway East, the first Labour candidate to hold a seat in that constituency.

Michael Kitt of Fianna Fáil topped the poll in the four-seater while the second and third seats earlier fell to Paul Connaughton Jr and Ciaran Cannon, both of Fine Gael.
